Visual Tree Assessment
The most common assessment performed by Consulting Arborists are where concerns about a trees health or structural integrity are held.
This involves a detailed ground based assessment, to determine its state of health, structural integrity, with a report of the findings and actions that may be required.
Our Arborists will present you with appropriate solutions to meet the challenges presented.

Sonic Tomography
Sonic tomography is a non invasive form of testing, similar to an ultrasound, helping to determine the amount of healthy wood a tree is producing, what internal defects might be present and where there are areas of decay.
Sonic Tomography is an ideal form of testing over invasive methods such as drilling as it does not cause the natural chemical defenses of a tree to be broken to collect information.

Risk Assessment
In areas used by the public, you have a duty of care in managing your trees, ensuring they do not pose an unacceptable level of risk to people or property.
The easiest step in fulfilling this duty of care is with a Tree Risk Assessment. This is undertaken using an internationally recognised system called Quantified Tree Risk Assessment (QTRA).
It's an efficient process that will assist you in making an informed decision on how best to manage your trees.

Tree Protection Reports
A tree protection report is an essential first step in any project where works will be undertaken around trees.
The Arborists at Westworks Consultancy are highly experienced in this area and can provide you with practical advice that is easy to apply.
A tree protection report focuses on individual trees and provides information in line with the Australian Standard for the Protection of Trees on Development sites (AS4970 – 2009)

Advanced Tree Assessment
One of the outcomes of a Visual Tree Assessment, may be that your tree requires some form of further investigation or an advanced level of assessment.
Westworks Consultancy provides a range of Advanced assessment services, including:

Sonic Tomography
-
Aerial Assessment

Tree Survey
A Tree Survey can provide an overview of the number and types of trees within a site. It is an essential starting point for new projects to assist you in your design work. It aids in the placement of Roads, P.O.S. utilities and in implementing tree protection measures.
A tree survey can include a range of information as required for your project, and is collected in a GIS spatial environment.

Project Arborist
Having a Consulting Arborist as part of your project team, can be highly beneficial to the outcomes of your project.
Appointing a dedicated Arborist for your project, means that there is a tree expert readily available to provide tree management advice at short notice when plans change or things don’t go to plan.

Flora Survey
Are you looking to develop your property?
Our team can assist by undertaking a flora survey to determine species located within your property and its status as rare or declared flora.
When combined with a Tree Survey, our team can ensure you receive all relevant environmental information on your property, in one package, reducing the need for multiple contractors.
